Re: Selling a website
If they are ABC or ABCD trades where the seller of the site benefits from inbound links to other sites because of outbound links on the site sold, then there is no reason for the buyer to keep those links because they have outbound links without any benefiting inbound links. But in the end, don't wo...

Re: Sites On Individual IP's
Yes, you basically are artificially decreasing the amount of good sites you can trade with.
A link is a link is a link. IP has nothing to do with SEO, as stated before.

Traffic Stats?
How feasible would it be to have a way to register the amount of traffic that a site gets? Would that be a valuable metric, and would people enable/use it? IE, similar to statcounter, users could include a tracking pixel to record visits/pageviews on the respective pages. Provide pageviews/unique vi...

Change url from domain.com to www.domain.com?
When I added my last batch of sites, I added them as just domain.com, but they're all configured for www.domain.com.
How can I change them? I don't want to have to delete them and re-add them, and some of them already have existing trades so I can't delete them.

Also, interesting anecdote... A fairly large host (Servage, IIRC) had their shared hosting set up on a load balanced server setup, and had 40,000 customer domains on a single load-balanced IP.

Re: Different IPs and SEO. What do you think?
Having separate IP's for SEO benefit is in fact a Myth, one which WAS created by hosting companies. If you choose not to believe that, then you're spending money and depleting resources wastefully. Google has stated numerous times that all things being equal, the IP address your site is on does not ...

Re: Building Deep Links
i don't think you'd want the headache of trading/organizing all of your tags & categories. pick your most popular and SEO friendly sub-pages and start with those. add on from there once you've got some good deep linking going on in those main ones. I didn't mean I wanted to link to tag and cate...

yes this would be weary useful, because now i have to visit tens of my own sites per day :D Are you thinking that the API would be used to display links on sites remotely? That would be a BAD idea in my opinion, at least I would never use that feature. I don't even like having remote 3rd party ads ...

Re: Building Deep Links
I'm not sure I'm following, but yes to spider and track trades for deeplink pages you have to add those pages to the tool. If we were to just spider an entire domain our url list would be a total shit pile and very difficult to search through. So we made it to not spider the entire domain and add a...

Re: Mass Active Trades check
If you're anal and want to be able to run your own checks "on demand", simply manage all of your trades in a program like LinksOrganizer. Then you can run your own spider reports and check trades for dropped links etc. The LinksOrganizer reports also tell you other things that might be bad...

Re: Remove Uncategorized in categorires
How about this... Sites in "uncategorized" cannot be used to trade with, period. Let users flag sites as wrong category, which notifies the site owner that the site in question is the wrong category. (perhaps allow a 'suggest category' within the flag). Set a threshold of 3 or 5, where if ...

While it would be nice to have a marketplace... I think letting people sell links on here will detract from the link trading community.
More TRADES would get denied as people would be here to exclusively sell links. IE why should I trade links for free when I can make a couple bucks off of them?

Re: Anybody else having issues with Seo-Host??
If you're on a shared server, I recommend going to a vps or dedicated ASAP. All it takes is some other schmuck to have a poorly programmed script make too many mysql queries without properly closing them to bring a server to its knees. I have a pair of dedicated servers at cyberwurx. One is web (apa...

Order of trade setups remain constant
Is it possible to standardize the order of the sites in the setup trades view so it is constant? IE: If I initiate the trade, My sites are on the bottom, but if they initiate the trade, my sites are on top. (Or vice versa) Basically, whoever initiated the trade is always on top. And when I have 10-2...

Re: SE traffic to one of my sites, is someone trying to scam my
They're using an automated blogger tool and using google blogsearch to scrape sites/content to fluff up their automated blog posts. By mashing up content from multiple sources and including random links to other sites based on keywords from google blog search, their auto blog posts look more natural...
