Get links in to 'buffer sites' you own, not to your main sites. Then link your buffer sites to your main sites. Engines won't transfer a penalty for a bad link to your buffer site on to your main site so you can keep them safe from these situations. i think it was more of me linking to "bad li...

Psssst - The key is to lock the interface when they fail to add links.
