Adult Sites Link Exchange

Hi,

No idea where to ask this. I've been getting a lot of link exchange requests on link spoon, but most of the sites have like 5 visitors / day and are blogs with duplicate content.

Is that good for me? I want to link with sites that have at least 500 visitors / day, so that i also get some clicks (and of course i send clicks back).

Of course, you can review the requests based on your own rules. But LinkSpun is about link trading, not traffic trading. Sure, a nice link trade can gain some good traffic as well, but mostly the links are not put up on locations where people are likely to click them.

In general I look at PR, Alexa (sometimes), quality of sites (does it look good and does it have legal content), niches, that sort of thing. I'm not that worried about getting traffic from a specific site.

Hmm...so what i have to do is actually make another link exchange box on my sites (somewhere low in the footer and smaller text) for link exchange only with sites without traffic.

I usually looks for PR (should match my domain), alexa (should be similar to what i have) and content.

Well, that is up to you. I find that if you do that you have to (over) analyze your trades a lot and try to figure out where a specific trades needs to go (also checking again after a while). It's not "forbidden" to try to get some traffic from your link exchanges. Some of my trade partners do send back traffic on a pure link exchange. On some sites of myself I try to put up the links more prominent then others.

If you for instance use LinkOrganizer you can also order your link trades based on incoming raws or uniques. Then you can automatically split up your trades in 2 templates where you put the most traffic generating links in a top section and others in a bottom section. This still does not mean a lot if the send traffic is bad, it just counts hits/uniques.

For myself, lately I sort on PageRank. Dunno, makes more sense if you trade for PR. For instance on http://www.babechatonline.com/ I put new trades (for a few days) and higher PR on higher positions. 3 at a time, integrated in between the sections. So in theory, a higher quality link will be put up higher on the page then a lower one… pure theory

As long as you keep in mind that not many people trade for traffic using hardlinks, most just go for the link, not the traffic. They even come up with the most idiotic anchors (I hate to register 'porn' or 'sex').

Traffic trading is normally done using different techniques (blinds, clicked, skimmed, etc).

I have to create blogs for the 100 domains i have and then i have sites to trade hardlinks Seems like thats what everyone is doing

If you can see that the blog has a lot of duplicate content then I would avoid doing a trade with it. But how do you know how many visitors per day it has?

Lots of people complain about the requests they get, what about the requests you send?

Can't really expect to get 100% great requests. If you want to make it worth it you'll need to put at least a little effort into it (the sites you have, plus the trade requests).

I see lots of posts with people complaining about the 'shitty requests' they get. They were requests, came to you for free, and thought out by someone else. If you find 2 out of 10, they are still free, no effort trades.

You want good trades? You'll need to go after them and develop some relationships.

It looks like it look! Did you ever check how many people click links in the footer of a page? In the past few days I think I have clicked 100 because the links I'm looking for are normally placed there… (affiliate programs, traffic exchanges, link exchanges, terms, etc,)

I know what direction you want to go, but a footer link by it self does not necessary mean they are not worth anything. And Google does not know either...
