Or if John thinks that the shitlist isn't a good idea, maybe he could lower the pending links from 20 to 10, at least this way you will get the big fish's attention, forcing them to reciprocate so that they can still operate.

Setting up a trade on your end immediately after accepting: +2
Setting up a trade on your end after it is accepted within 1 day of partner putting up their link: +1
Setting up a trade on your end otherwise: no effect on rep.
Setting up a trade on your end more than 3 days after your partner: -1
Setting up a trade on your end more than 1 week after partner: -2

Having a trade rejected: -1
Having a trade accepted: +1

Having a trade canceled after 1 week of your link being down: -1
Waiting 1 week before canceling a trade because their link is down: +1

Very quickly a system like this would show the complete shitheads. It would have people with -5 to +20 seeing how they could be "better" traders. And it would show the elite traders who don't fuck around sitting on +200 to +2000.

All you said is not bad as an idea except:

I would put it on the paid version when it comes out, that way n00bs and cheap fuckers that don't want to pay for this service cant see and can benefit from the member stats.
On a personal note, this has nothing to do with the topic but I hope that John wont add anything more to the basic version and all new tweaks hes setting up will go ONLY on the paid version.

That is why you just let the system handle it with my system.

As for someone being critical of the +1/-1 for accepted/rejected trades...

Do you REALLY have that many trades rejected?

I have 1200+ accepted trades and about 100 rejected trades...
I have ZERO trades canceled after more than 1 week of being down.
I have about 250 - 350 points + for waiting at least a week before canceling a trade. Shakey is about 180 of that number and ;(
Setting it up immediately I have about 400 to 500?
Setting it up within a day I am about +600 or more on that one.
More than three days after partner? Vacations... perhaps -50?
More than a week? One vacation did this... 20 x 2 = -40?

So 1200 - 100 = 1100 + 300 (avg) = 1400 + 450 = 1850 + 600 = 2450 - 50 = 2400 -40 = 2470.

2470 points on this type of system.

I know of a once good trader that turned into a spammer for links. He would have started at a positive number and now he'd be going way down for rejections.

The new guy with 6 sites all PR0 on thumblogger? The system can spit out to him stuff like, you have only 6 sites and all are PR0 and on the same IP address. You should add in more free hosts and think about getting a VPS with [insert sponsored link here]. It comes with a free domain and IP that will make you a more viable trading partner. Read these small tutorials on how to get from point A to B.

Someone that is moving down with 10 rejects in a certain time period: You should think more about the quality of links you are asking for then the amount. Try to stick within niches. If your site is in a language other than English, look for trades in your language. Consider adding more pages to the system people can request links back from. Read this tutorial on how to not get rejected so fucking much.
