Link sellers

Post by redwhiteandblue »

Just had a trade request in which the trader requested a link to Porn Hub. I noticed this practice occurring on the other link trading network and now it's here.

Obviously this trader is not the owner of Porn Hub, but is selling links. In order to make this work and protect themselves from a Google ban, they need to involve an unsuspecting third party who provides the actual link being sold.

I am not in the slightest bit interested in being the "piggy-in-the-middle" in someone else's link selling scheme, the trouble is that it's not always obvious that that's what is happening.

How might Linkspun combat this practice? First step I would say would be a rule that you must own the domains in your profile or at least have control of them.

I'll check with someone I know there tomorrow, but as far as I can tell, that user is indeed the brazzers link exchanger.

Ah you may be right I didn't actually look at the trade properly. But I have definitely come across the practice before, arranging link trades to domains that the trader is not the owner of or working for. Not here but elsewhere.
