It's true, the vast majority of trade requests I get are from morons with crap sites who have no idea what they're doing. Linkspun can be a very handy tool, but it also makes it very easy to just spam your links to everyone and anyone - and apparently the current userbase is happy doing just that.

No sense trying to deny it, I fall into that group. But it's not the first time I've been a moron in my life and I'm sure it won't be the last. In short, we all have to start some place and for me it might as well be moron.

Well, I wouldn't call it 'ineptitude'. It's more just an unwillingness of people to educate themselves on how to market & optimize a site, instead just wasting others' time by spamming their links over and over.

Not speaking for your approach specifically Tabarnak, but I get tons of trade requests for PR0 sites with only a tenuous relation to my niche(s), or sites that are crappy linkfarms just asking for a Google penality. When you have 100+ requests it gets tiresome to sort through them to find out of any are actually worthwhile. If you deny them all they just pile up again in no time.

It's not that hard to teach oneself how to present good content, improve your SE rank, and get the quality incoming traffic that makes one's site a solid Linkspun trade candidate, but it seems the majority of people on here just don't give a shit...
