Urgent need your opinion "Thanks"

I'm hiring a person as administrator of the affiliate program for my business. will be in charge of design, advertising and SEO of my website with access to important information has been referred as very good affiliate programs.
My question is: in your opinion what is the correct way to check the reputation of a possible candidate to run your business

References... Verifiable past works... Look the person up with Google.
