A few people including myself have noticed some PR changes. Does anyone have some news to report, either bad or good?

HINT: Go to manage pages, find your page and press the update link.

You can also see what PR changes the bots automatically ran into by going to the index page. Click on the LS logo.

My current goal is moving my main page from PR3 to PR4 and all internal pages from PR2 to PR3 even if I'm aware that PR is just of of the few parameters google use to rank a site - Matt Cutts (google chief engineer of webspam team, of the father of the panda algorithm) says they calculate serp using about 1000 parameters.

At this update, I'm seeing just a couple of changes. A new page moved from PR0 to PR2 (like all my other internal pages) and one internal page move from PR2 to PR3. So, that's fine.

Now. About this last change there's a lot to say... This is maybe one of the few pages that I've not promoted with link trades. GWT says: 15 links from 6 domains - maybe there are a few more, but really a few.

hotnetporn.com 9
seoprofiler.com 2
dyns.be 2
fetishbeach.com 1
bowlusswinger.info 1

If you look, three of them are from autogenerated pages (real shit!) - now the most linked of my internal page has 53.696 links (tube pages, tgp pages, blog pages, minisites) from 63 domains - most of them are from decent sites... Also consider I've many internal pages with rare content and hundreds of incoming links...

How google choosed to promote that page (and not another) is a real mystery.... ! I heard a lot of odd things happened at this update...

I had a shitload of pages go from PR0 to PR2 - and half of them had no business jumping that much.

Of course, PR does not equal clicks, but it does raise my self esteem

I dont see a clear pattern - ive had some good quality blogs go up, others go down ... same for other types of sites.

Couple of my blogs have lost PR but traffic from Google has increased by 10% - 15% over the last week.

Another blog has gone to PR3 from PR1 and is now seeing about 10% less traffic from Google.

This update should finally put an end to the bullshit theories spouted on forums about page rank. But, of course, it won't :)

Chasing PR is a waste of time! Decent Serp results don't require high PR, unique content, well structured sites and a few good incoming links is all it takes.

Lost PR here and there... Gained a lot more traffic... Google's PR is a decent indication of linking structure, but not the only metric by far, and that is about it.
