What's considered a fair trade

Maybe I'm misunderstanding things so I wanna know whats considered a fair trade? the reason I ask is because Ive been getting what I think are very unreasonable trade responses. For example. Im starting a new tube so I put out a bunch of requests. and one of the responses was from a PR3 site. He wanted a link from 2 PR2's and 2 Pr1's just to give me one link on his PR3. I mean isnt that much to ask in return. I expected a stacked trade because I don't have any PR3's but to me it seems like they were trying to take advantage of the situation and I'm starting to see that more often here.

Maybe I'm wrong, but when I give PR3, I usually ask for 1 PR2 and 1 PR1 (or even 1 PR0), but on different IPs. But that's me, everyone is different. And also I look for number of backlinks via majesticseo.com

@_PMI_ that's what I thought was fair. Hell I would even accept if they wanted links from 2 pr2's. but 2 pr2's and 2 pr1's is way over doing it

Depends on a lot of things...
If you want me to link into your from my PR3 with 200 outbound links I will probably ask for a PR2 and a PR1 from you.
If you ask for it on a site with 15 outbound links I might want 2 PR2 and a PR0 from you on separate IPs...
If your sites have 120+ outbound links and my PR3 is 10 outbound links I might want what he asked for.

I've already blocked this asshole... 2 or 3 times I asked trades and got the same or more "funny" requests from him.

I was just using him as a example but there have been others also. I denied one guy and sent him a message telling him why then he responded "Your going to regret it"...lol

Sometimes when I have had too much to drink I make silly requests... but not that silly.
