question about buying backlinks

ok I just got a message from someone offering to sell me 10k worth of backlinks for 20 bucks.
The guy is willing to take paypal so there's no worry about giving my credit card info to a scammer.

But I'm wondering what the impact could be on my domain if I purchase 10k of backlinks.
Personally it doesn't sound like a bad deal to me.

Bad idea... I'm too tired (it's late) to explain. I'm sure someone else will. You could tank your site in the serps. Google no likey and will think you bought them instead of obtained them organically.

 Yeah, 10k of worthless spammy backlinks.

The best way to get banned from Google.

But I get shit from google now... I do daily handwritten updates of a real *organic* nature and not just fluff that tries to get enough words in for the bots. And I've had everyone from so called "SEO Experts" fiddle with my sits to advice from google reps themselves.

I get like 5 hits from google a month so I'm figuring screw google. They're quick enough to try and sell me advertising but morons for any real help.

I know I'm not getting a high volume of traffic but I get emailed daily from people that love the site and/or want to buy directly a DVD directly from me. So it's not my content that's the problem.

Which site are you talking about? Tabarnak69? The only title I see for your site is Tabarnak69. Why not implement a title with researched keywords. I saw no meta description for the site when I clicked View Source. You write long articles, you should use H2 tags within your articles.

The titles to your blog posts are not keyword friendly although you have excellent categories and tags. I'd recommend pulling from your categories and tags to develop titles to your blog posts that will reflect the top searches in your niches. Integrate each title into the first paragraph of each blog post.

What SEO plugin are you using? I just googled a random indexed blog post and don't see an SEO description for that blog post. Your site is only registered till next month. If you're planning on staying with it, register it out longer, at least 2 years. Integrate
social media.

Just some quick observations.

Google is like playing cards with Captin Kirk. I need to have 3 fizbans on a thursday in order to win.

No it's not Tabarnak but the site does represent my new found "fuck it" attitude towards google and search engines. For our defacto main site, we once spent a small fortune on so called *professional designers, etc* Including a firm that contracted to coca-cola. Let's just say we were less than impressed.

I wouldn't buy crappy backlinks, they might work to push you to the top for a while for a keyword but you'll get found eventually

You want to say fu to google that's fine, just do your own marketing offline and online, go for social media, get into forums, it's not easy but it's a little more reliable than search engine traffic

I think I've started to really learn the lesson you just described. Market offline!

About 3 months ago, around the time I started "trying" to be a webmaster, my partner and I had a huge argument. We had spent a small fortune on various webdesigns, consultants, programers, etc... In the end it's as I already said, "we were less than impressed."

So we took 2 different approaches to the Internet and I'm starting to believe that my partner is right and I'm wrong. Of course it's obvious which direction I choose because here I am failing as a webmaster.

My business partener put the entire site behind a GEOIP block and shut the entire world off except people coming from within our local physical geographic area. A hell of a lot less traffic but the actual money earned is more or less the same. so from a conversion ratio perspective... It's a hell of a lot better doing offline marketing than online.

But there's also some benefits to my partner's approach that mine. For example he's able to quickly identify and sue anyone ripping and uploading a video.

Personally I have no clue what i'm going to do with the stuff I paid for or created on the Internet. For now I'm just taking a wait and see what happens approach.

No offense ment to you or anyone else and I'm thankful to everyone that offered an opinion or tried to help. But sadly that "do it in english" commentary really casts a new light on yet another problem with the Internet. Oh well if I have to get a job collecting garbage at least it will be in my language.

I'm going to buy the backlinks and see how it goes. If it doesn't work then I'm going to shut the fuck up and let my partner call the shots. He obviously knows more than I do and I should just focus on where to point the camera.

Well we'll see how it goes. If I never post again then it's because I'm back to making love to my photographic equipment.

- dont setup to much outgoing links
- passionate a while and be update

So I need to spend only $20 to kill somebody's site?

Sure that huge amount of spammy links could make you a lot of damage, but you will not be banned in seconds. Google is not stupid.

edit: Just to be clear, I'm not suggesting to buy that worthless spam links. You can spent that money ($20) on something more worth for your site.

It is correct. It won't kill a site, there's not a quick and total ban but it sure can make some serious damage. That's why I said "sadisfaction guaranteed!"

Google is aware of the problem. There's an official tool that allow you to disavow a list of links pointing to your site: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=393nmCYFRtA (Matt Cutts official video)
