So linking a hostedtube with someone else's hostedtube is a bad idea right? They would both probably be coming from the same IP and both would have the exact same content anyway.

Yes, bad idea, perceived as duplicate content by Google.

But linking your own Hosted tube links with each other?

If they are on the same IP forget it, even sites on the same class C IP can be discounted if goggle determines them to be affiliated, and cross linking them means they are affiliated.

Linking them together would be pretty much pointless now. Especially with the duplicate content.

There are so many factors in play now that linking into your own properties should be avoided unless it actually adds some kind of benefit to the surfer, not just yourself. Like into your own dating or cam white label site, or into a similar property you own that offers them more content they will want to use. If all it is for is to try and boost your rank in the search results you should stick to A => B, C => D. Even then try to avoid massive link farms with no real content.

By content I don't just mean text. XVideos isn't known for their books... They are known for their porn and lots of quality porn. Most hosted tubes don't have quality porn in them. If they did you'd have 50,000 uniques a day or more. Instead you would be lucky if you hit 1000.

I would love to see it, though, where somebody elevates a hosted tube from ho-hum into being as popular as something like Spankwire. That would be funny and awesome and... well, just neat to see.

Just deleted all my links in my Hostedtube sites, which were pointed tp each other and my traffic decreased around 90% in 24h. There can be some other explanation but one of my sites, which had around 5000-7000 uniques a day is now basically 0.

Try putting them all back and see what happens, seems a bit quick for it to take affect in 24hrs, from my spamming exercises it normally took about 5/6 days to see drastic changes, both good and bad.
Looking at your site in Majestic seo its got 388 referring domains from 275 ip's, you only have 19 sites in your profile and they are spread over a selection of ip's, how many links did you remove? If it was just from the sites in your profile I don't think that would have had such a serious effect on your rankings.

Before you do something rash you should always give all of the info you have.

I would have said: If it ain't broke don't fix it. Ever!

The only exception to this rule is something you self host and you do split testing on.

PimpRoll Hosted tubers should use the "URL Slugs" option for your pages under The SEO and Analytics section. (I think your links are already slugged)

It is important to keep your tube as unique as possible from an SEO point of view. This section allows you to control your URLs with slugs making it harder for the search engines to detect duplicate content."
