Unless submitting some form of splog - isnt it a bit pointless to submit to these directories? I mean, if simply adding a blog to the directories suggested in this thread, that in itself would add up to some 100 recip links from the blog ... in return for alot of backlinks from subpages with no/little individual linkjuice/traffic/pr.

just try it with one quality blog, just do http://www.adultblogresource.com/submitter/ abc linking (smart linking) - its pretty powerfull, even if you have to place 8 links on you blog for that

From my own experiences...


Should you submit a newly created blog to these places?

- Yes! You will #1 receive about 300,150,120,80,60,50,40,40,30,30,20 per day in traffic...
- If all you are doing is splogs and pumping out hundreds, this is free traffic!
- If you make real blogs this is good test traffic and it shockingly converts!

Should I use ABC or just back and forth?

- I've tried both. I think I actually got more benefit from AB linking then ABC

Should I keep their links up forever? Just set it and forget it?

- FUCK NO! Twan's directories are well known for dropping links and not informing you.
- Some of the non Twan directories will accept you to five sites and not the other 6...
- So you have to come back in a week and see where you are at.
- Twan directories are of three types.
- 1) Rotated links. So new links push old links to next page.
- This is problematic because only the /teen/ page has PR. /teen/2,3,4,etc don't!
- 2) Hold links at the top based on hits in.
- Nice if you are sending hits. If not, you are again going to other pages with no PR.
- 3) First come, first served. New links go on page #1.
- Problem is that there are only 20 spots for new links. All others are people who came in years ago.
- So you go to page 2,3,4,5...

So what should I do if I come back next week and I am on page 2,3,4,5..?

- Drop the directories link! Don't give them link juice from the index page when they aren't reciprocating!
- On Twan blogs see if your link is dropped altogether and resubmit if it was... Then repeat above.

Don't waste your time with Twan's directories. This is because he nearly gave up on his projects and support/listing is extremely slow and lackluster nowadays. Also he used to get a fuckton of submits, so your blogs usually dropped down in archives very fast.

Sure those sites haven't been updated in 6 months, but I don't know if that makes him a scam artist. Probably just another abandoned project.

well okay lets assume he s not a scam artist, however you can submit your sites there and you ll never get listed, although when you remove the links to him you get for a few weeks a reminder that you took the links down every few days. it might be a abandomed project, however people should be warned not to waster their valuable time with that site.

Twan's directories link to a lot of domains that aren't even registered anymore.

you and your partner run those correct? are blogs still being listed there?

I tend to NOT trade with sites with blog directory links.
Too much link juice lost.

Agreed ....they add massive amounts of outbound links, so its usually not worth it unless its a 5min throwaway blog - which obviously wont be that nice to get a link on anyway

I've submitted a ton of blogs to twans directories. My experiences are exactly what vrocks as mentioned. He is spot on with this stuff! I'm now going back to check all of my blogs...low and behold, tons of backlinks were dropped. Long story short, I'd say if its a quality blog don't waste your time. It will get buried and you will be doing him more good than he will be doing you. Very unfair trade. Just my opinion!

Looks like 1blogsubmitter.com dropped my links too. In the future I will probably link to one or two single blog directories and that is it. Time to do some summer cleaning fellas!
