Tech Question

I am changing the name of my homepage which is currently listed as https://www.slutbank.com not sure what the new extension will be at the end, but something like /home or /slutbank this is so we can put a splash page at the front of the site, which is in line with UK regulations...

My tech guy says he can do it in such a way that it wont effect trades already in place via "re-directs" to make sure all trades in and out still work, I guess we will have to wait and see...

Consequently we will not be taking any more trades for the url https://www.slutbank.com which is obviously still listed, is there any thing I can do to remove or hide that url so people don't request trades to it... ?

Any advice really appreciated.

I can swap out the URL in our system to match whatever your end result will be.

So if you had https://www.slutbank.com/ and want https://www.slutbank.com/blog/ I can do that in the DB and then all of your URLs and trades will have the new URL.

If you entered the new look URL already and have begun to make trades I can still merge it into the old URL and leave you with 1 URL so you don't have confusion.

In the Manage Pages screen you can hide pages.

Hey that will be cool... It's my belief that our tech guy as come up with a way so that the existing links will still work, but I guess until we flick the switch we won't truly know... it's good to know how ever you guys can help when it's done, we're hoping every thing will be changed over in the next few days...

I have added a second page slutbank.com/fatmanfuck but that's for a separate page we're looking to also get some links for, and will be adding a few more pages as well... all within the slutbank.com domain :D

Is it best to post in this thread or is there a direct email or anything I should let you know the new page name ect ?

The changes have now been made and the original url https://www.slutbank.com is now https://www.slutbank.com/slutbank I notice now we made these changes, even though my tech guy said he could keep the trades working with some sort of redirect, a lot are broken... even if not all...

Can you do as suggested and change things in the system ? Hoping we can get these back working :D

Many Thanks

Steve
