So, nofollow links count as outgoing links?

I have 38 sponsor links on a site that's literally brand new, and the linkspun spider counts every one of those as an outgoing link. I am sad.

I'm sorry, it saddens me to, but all the users also realize that the spider counts 'outgoing links' and that's any off site link. There's a few threads on here discussing it and the only real answer is to count them and let the users see for themselves.

A site with a few hundred nofollow galleries isn't a 'leak free' link, we need to count those links as they are outbound links. The links themselves may not pass weight but they are still outbound links.
