PR change alerts group into a conversation...

Would it be possible to have new PR change alerts add themselves to an existing alert of the same type like a Gmail conversation so that I don't have 40 of them to delete at once?

Please bear with us for a bit. Jdoughs and I were just discussing the alert system today because it badly needs a redo! Nobody, including us, enjoy closing all these alerts each day.
