Sometimes you may get Link Not Found errors but you know the link is live (you've added it, or you've saw the link with your own eyes). There is a few things that could cause this that is not a spider mistake, but another error that you may be able to fix yourself.

Here's a few ways you can check if it is an error outside of Linkspuns control.

CACHE: Many sites (especially blogs) will use a cache system to display their pages. When you update a blog as admin, you'll often see changes instantly, but surfers (AND OUT BOT) will see the cached version of pages, ensure you've deleted or refreshed your cache. If it's the other user, you can view his source and see what day/time his cache was last updated and either let them know to refresh it, or wait a day or two for it to happen naturally.
HTML ERRORS: Often a Not Found will occur from a HTML error. And often it is exactly like this. The link ABOVE the trade url/anchor is not closed properly, so the spider starts following the above link (which isn't closed) and finds the NEXT closing a tag, and basically skips over the added link. For example, this:

So it skips past our link and anchor, to close the a tag it's already on.
DNS ISSUES: Sometimes you may see your site, or the other traders site, but there may be an issue with our server seeing the site. You can check dns at sites like this - http://www.whatsmydns.net/#A/ and http://www.kloth.net/services/nslookup.php to see if there is errors loading your/their site from other places in the world.
HTML REDIRECTS: If you got a link in the system that is meant to be found on http://www.findmehere.com and your www's redirect to http://findmehere.com, the bot will throw an error. I wouldn't recommend switching your redirect, but stop the trade and add the url properly.

I would estimate that a little over half the errors are one of the above factors, and if it isn't in there, it's quite possibly the spider or our boxes DNS.

I check and look into all trades posted here as Spider errors, if you think you have an error that is our spider please start a thread and give us the trade ID url. It is this url, you can get it by clicking View Trade, or the magnifying glass in trade list.

That is a Shakey trade, I think he was gone for awhile and lots of people mentioned the sites being down, I think they've just recently came back up, and out of all the trade/spider errors posted here, his sites are the only ones left erroring.

I posted in another thread that I was going to wait until tomorrow incase they were down, and just came back up, if so, I think our spider is still seeing the old dns/cache of them. I'll be checking in the AM tomorrow.

If you moved servers it will take a day or two (possibly) to update global DNS, it's most likely seeing the old server still.

This is John1936. I have eight links that say they can not be found, however I went onto my site and saw the links. Nonetheless, this site is still saying the links can not be found. How do we fix this? Thank you very much for your help with this matter.

Looking into these...

On the first one... Your tubish site has an error on line 49 you have a center tag that isn't closed... Sometimes something like this can trip up the bot because it does massive amount of regex to look for people putting the link in a way that is hidden... Still reviewing it though...

In 99% of cases it is a problem where someone requested double spaces... XXX Porn in two instances above and the other is when you have errors in your code... The offending error on:

Is the banner above the link... MILF Mania... notice your Header for Recommended Link is a LINK to that banner... that is because your banner doesn't close it's anchor tag. Edit that banner. I will remove the spaces in the other two requests...

Special characters rarely end up working correctly even with copy and paste because your computer might not have the language pack and therefor your version looks right, but as far as computers are concerned, it is just a visually alike equivalent. Computers deal with spot on stuff...

Lets see if what he typed shows up here in the forum and you can try copying and pasting...

I spoke to Amerinoc about these domains and they said it is a domain name problem. That your domains entry in the DNS system is whacked.

Hi Jay, there is no DNS record on our side, however our resolvers cannot resolve it. Google @8.8.8.8 will, but with some additional flags in dig I see what is likely the problem:
dig lesbianpussylicking.org +nssearch @8.8.8.8
dig: couldn't get address for 'orange.a1websolutions.com': not found

That host isn't resolving, so our request to it to obtain the IP can't proceed. If they correct this I suspect we will be able to resolve it. I'm not sure if the error is reproducible but our bind resolving configuration is nothing special, and they are proper resolving nameservers, meaning, they do lookups as any other nameserver would, they do not have a preference to our authorative nameservers.

Not sure if this was one of your domains specifically, but the problem is the same with all of them that don't resolve correctly.

however, my sites are not on amerinoc or a1websolutions, they are on a dedicated server at CertifiedHosting, along with 300+ other domains.

If "domain name problem. That your domains entry in the DNS system is whacked" is about my site, could you please explain a little bit, I don't know much details about DNS.

I fixed it by verbatim copying your own text from the source... However, this is not going to help him... You need to copy the text correctly for the anchor he wants because German keyboards are going to type it into Google that way.

I have about 40 new trade errors that have appeared in the last 2 weeks. All links are up, by they are not being tracked. Some idiots don`t bother checking if the trades are really there or not and deny stop the trades.

I'm too lazy to read the 5 pages. Is there a plan to have this issue fixed?
