Not really a bug, but this seemed like the best place to post this.

I'm getting a lot of messages about updates to the PR on my pages (very cool utility btw) How often does the PR checker run?

The PR checker is spread over a wide number of IP's to resist Google PR checker banning... That being our checker getting banned for checking too often, not you getting banned...

So it checks PR whenever it is idol (not checking PR for added pages or manual update requests, etc). It skips around naturally because it is going down a list sorted by date added. Because of this you might see it check 8 of your pages and be gone for a day or two... then check 2 pages, then 4 more later in the day and then nothing for days, then 20 pages... It is just moving along by page ID which is autogenerated when pages are added and is therefor in chronological order.

So to answer your question... It is always running. But can only do so many checks per hour to keep from being banned. It splices in manual requests and added pages here and there slowing it down. Over time we will continue to add more and more IP's to the list and try to keep it in pace with the growth of LS. Thanks for reminding us to add a few more!
