there is tradespun.com but last time i checked (ages ago ) it wasn't anywhere near as busy at linkspun

I have many mainstream sites, and IMO getting single links in the sidebar from other sites is a waste of time. In fact it often will hurt you.
What you need is links right in the blog post or articles. You want your links to be natural looking and come from the articles. I know places you can join to do that but it cost money.
BTW I mean for mainstream sites. Google uses different ways to rank adult sites and links in sidebars are fine for those. But it's still a lot better to get them from within the articles.
