I think that will be better to sort alerts like a "newest first" so when you open a page you don't need to scroll at the whole page to see the newest alert.

Re: Alerts page
I thought about doing it this way. But I felt like it was counter-productive to getting alerts read and 'cleared'. If jdoughs sends a site-wide alert, then you don't check your account for a few days and you get some alerts in there about trades then the chances of you reading his alert sooner gets smaller. The idea was to clear the alerts off as you read them.
Maybe we could put the "Admin" alerts at the top always, then sort the rest descending by date.

Re: Alerts page
This sounds like the most logical set up. Have sitewide/admin alerts display at the top so I know they've been read, and list the others descending beneath it.

Re: Alerts page
i have suggestion to alerts page:
# - i don't think that if trades was made it's message should go to alert and alert me that trade was successful. i think that when i check links i get a message on top of setup that trade #xxx was added to active trades, and that's it. if user don't lick check link and your system does that next time he visits setup tab he get's those messages that trades #xxx.... and so on have been added to active list.
