SEO Impact of PopUnders

Post by Relentless »

Have any of you tried on-click popunders on any of your sites and noticed an impact on the ranks of the site or the ranks of the sites being linked via the popunder? I understand popunders are mostly about sending additional traffic but I am curious if anyone has noticed an impact caused by them on SEO specifically.

Thanks for your input.

I don't think clean popunders impact SEO. I don't even think the Googlebot detects a popunder script unless it's malware. NB: If I'm wrong, I'd like to know.

This would be perfectly clean relevant content popunders that pop on-click only.
I'm looking for someone who has already tried this and had good or bad results...

I use them on most of my blogs. I haven't seen any change in my top spots for keywords.

Personally I know my bookmarkers aren't going to like them. So I set the cookie for one month.

I have them on random rotation with several different sites. So chances are they never see the same shit twice.
