I have some dot me's in my domain portfolio which I was going to roll out as sites, but was advised by my SEO consultant friend that they don't rank. He asked if I had ever seen a dotme in any Google or Bing search results and I can't say that I ever have.
However when I told him one of the names was a one word (keyword), he capitulated and said well maybe keep that one. The other domain is a kinda clever phrase using a two word domain name integrating me into the phrase.
Seeking advice from anyone with knowledge or experience with dotme's. From some of the articles I've read, he's right. It seems that the dotme domain extension was created so people could develop websites about themselves, but not necessarily to rank in the serp's.
If I were making an Ariel Rebel blog I don't think I would use .me domain. I might use other larger countries domains, but Google isn't going to rank it well against competition because there just aren't that many people looking for her in Montenegro.
If I were creating a web site that was going to be about something new I am creating I might, especially if have .me was important for the name. Like ComeFuck.Me for a site about brothels maybe... Or DateAGirlLike.Me for dating perhaps... But then it will rank for my brand only...

Yes, one of the sites is similar to ComeFuck.me and the other is the single word domain, which my interpretation of what you're saying is that I'd have a better shot of branding a catchy dotme domain than ranking in Montenegro for a single word domain. Hard to know what to do.... I may just let them expire and look for better dotcom's to develop in their niches. Cheers!
