That limit isn't going to change until we have a subscription service in place. I get a lot of complaints from people every day because they are being bombarded with "spammers" requesting a massive amount of links for their webcam sites... Guess who they often complain about? Your type of requests and how many are requested at a time are what 95% of LS consider spamming.

Complain about me? LOL

I like some of the stuff you did to speed up and take care of linkspun, but limiting is not the way to go. I submit a few requests first and if they accept i submit more, if this is spamming people should quit using linkspun.

It's a trade website, people are supposed to get trade requests, they should be happy that other people request from them, not the other way around. I have nothing against people that submit a lot of trades, if i don't like their sites it takes me about 2 seconds to delete all his requests, is that such a big effort?

For me to submit the trades it takes me HOURS, because i have to hceck every website, make sure its a decent site to get a link from... do you see the difference? Why are they the victims and not the people that work hours everyday to submit these links?

I remind you this is a link trading forum!

Not attacking you. Just letting you know that the biggest complaint when it comes to people receiving requests is that the webcam/dating traders are flooding their inbox with trade requests.

You might only be doing 100 a day... But then so are 50 other webmasters... And together you guys are doing 5,000 a day... And the guys at the top of lists, when sorted by PR for instance, get you and the other 50 asking them on a daily basis... If not you that day, then 25 others with 1 to 20 requests each... I get them myself... I just block you guys...

While it is a trading site many of the traders that make this place great and receive the most benefit (#1's in Google for instance) are very selective about what they will trade with...

To me it sounds like someone would be creating an obvious linkfarm if they were sending out 100+ trades a day. I rarely send out requests. I am selective about what and who I trade with so I only add about 1 to 5 trades a day that people request of me... Closer to 1 or 2 most likely. And I have a lot of #1's - #5 in Google.

Here is a question: What would you consider a good number per day for you to feel good?

I am selective too, very, if i might add, thats why i check every single domain.

It's not a link farm, its just that i tend not to do it everyday and do it 1 or 2 days a week when i am in the mood, just to not make it a routine in my day, and if you do that you get too 100 pretty quickly. I say 200 is pretty reasonable.

It just bugs me how people complain about getting links, can we get a trade limit to accounts? so that everybody sets up their accounts to the number of links they deem decent ?

This will solve all the problems :)

We are clearly have different views on it, i used to think the same a few years back, but backlinks now are vital, and the competition is very very tough, what got you in the first page with 100 links takes 1000 now, then started to pick it up a notch.

Thanks V

For webcam sites, perhaps. (I wouldn't know... I don't push them)

But certainly not for halfway decent to high quality sites.
(the pickier you are with trades, the better... a bunch of shitty trades will keep you going nowhere... good trades --> somewhere)

I couldn't have said it better myself. I've had to hide a lot of my PR sites to keep the webcam requests down (seems most webcam requests are for your sites with the highest PR) which sucks because I want people with great sites to see those on my list :(. I already have a "No Webcams" thing in my profile but that doesn't work. I accept webcam trades anyways, but usually only from traders I know, traders that are nice/good or if the person has just sent a couple of requests/or has a niche webcam site that goes along with websites I have.

And it's not because the webcam sites are bad or anything but when I get a shit ton of general webcam requests to a micro-niche blog...it makes no sense. It's like some of the webcam traders just hit the "request" button on every website and go down the list doing that lol. I don't care about PR so much as trading with sites that are in the same category ya know?

Some of them get pissed off when I deny their webcam requests which sucks because I'm not trying to be a dick about it, I just have my own link plan that I like to follow. I get trades denied too but I don't take it personally because every one has a certain method of trading.

Anyways, keep up the great work...It's nice that you've become really involved with us users!

hope to have 1,000,000 trade in my account :D

about those spam and so on, i think we need some kind of protection, maybe like if you have less then 100 active trades you can do only 10 requests per day, and after you reach 300 you can make 100 per day, maybe this would help.

I'm going to make a Gay Midget White-Label Webcam site and make a goal of requesting every possible trade combination I can with every single user.
