Sum domains and Free blog sites

Post by PornGuy »

This is quickly becoming a place that only has subdomains and free blogs like thumblogger and what not.

Is there any way or anything in the works to be able to hide those without hiding the regular domains?

Start creating a list... And I will see about making a module so you can check a box and pretty much all free hosted stuff is then excluded from your search results.

Ok here is a real johny-come-lately question.

Why are free domains bad? It seems to me to be just free blogs and that's an easier route than having to install word press on a lot of actual domains.

Yeah, it's easier... And shows that you how serious are into that site. If you don't wanna pay about 12 bucks for a domain per year and about 8-10 bucks for an unlimited hosting place where you can run even 20-30 small site it means your site is on a free domain is just a "feeder-site" as jdough said on GFY. OK, we need feeder sites as well but if you would like to make good tradings you have to be aware that those site may disappear very easily.

thumblogger.com
smutpost.com
sensualwriter.com
sexusblog.com

Anymore?

Why do they suck? Well... Because anything you can do without having to put blood, sweat and tears sucks... It is the low road. The easy path. The most trodden. The cheapest. A dime a dozen. Sometimes needed, but often over used and abused.

Ok
I'm not trying to argue with you but I am trying to understand better.

See for me I stopped worrying about impressing my colleges a long time ago and I tend to stay focused on my goals of earning money and staying true to my own personal values.

Now I can understand not having one of these free sites used an money generating site. That domain should always be owned and hosted where your in complete control. Because you should always be in control of your business.

But I ask if other than being free and easy feeder sites.. Is there any real financial reason someone should pay the money for their own sites?

If it disappears it's not any real loss because it's free... Should be just as easy to create a new free blog and keep going.

OK, it's true if your work and time cost nothing :)

I prefer sites that I can take under controll however I also use free CMS system. I rather pay for the hosting and domains and you can be sure my sites will be there for years... ;P

Now I'm new to this domain so if I'm saying silly things or have silly concepts, I apologize. I'm sure a year from now I will laugh at myself for being so dumb. Please never take my comments too seriously when I erreur.

OK,
I think like all things in life that will always be the questions to answer. How much work? and how much time?

For me if it's not mine I'm not going to make a lot of work to promote it. As it is I'm not too happy with my free sites because I have update them manually. I never know what to say and I never know what photos I should post. To me my free sites all sound similar and not very intelligent. But they are sending some traffic to my 1 site that I really care about. (Yes I only have 1 site.. I wish someone would make a course to learn all this because it would be easier)

this does not solve problem, we need filter search results:

Only Domains
Only Subdomains (all free and hosted)
Only Deep Pages (everything instead index.*)
All

and everyone decides which ones to hide.

i tried also much freeservices most of them ranks very bad. just one service that i know where i have just some blogs that ranks really top - possible to point domains on that service but only 200 mb/blog space!! much work for nothing is this freehost thing. my tld ranks already good after shortest time. my work is safe - installing cms like wordpress dont take much time as any before told here. i also need the full control of my pages and blogs - my own domains /servers and my databases that i always can backup. to restore smt after a crash.... someone who take it serious should be ready to pay 10 bucks for a domain and be ready to pay an host that also dont coasts much.. backlinks got value when they stay for long time and dont disapear after 3 months cause someones sensualwriter account was closed.

best regards

There have been several studies and tests about subs vs tlds, as there have about tlds vs ips.
End of story, more links the better.
Haha, happy seo'ing.

Enter button not mean send, it mean start new line. Easier for people like me with bad eye and sore head from beer to read.
