Faking PR...

Post by vrocks »

I am pretty damn sure this guy has faked his PR:

http://www.linkspun.com/profile.php?profileID=4209

He has tons of sites with PR4 to PR6. None of them have backlinks in any numbers. Most show 2 backlinks!

Can anybody tell me how he is doing this?

Rank checker only looks at whether or not you are redirecting. It doesn't know if you had used that method in the past and then switched to not doing so. It can take Google months to catch up. I can't find any high PR backlinks into your sites.

http://www.backlinkwatch.com/index.php

Look up my site http://www.clubcatieminx.com PR3

It has over 4900 backlinks... and they come from sites with PR0 to PR4. Many PR4. Many PR3. So the PR3 on the site makes a lot of sense.

Now yours: http://www.xnxxpornmovies.net

It says you have 1000...

So I look at one of them...
http://www.timbrabants.com/ and your site is no where to be found.
http://www.strongtie.co.uk/ again... no where...
http://www.roulette.org.uk/ I can't find a link to you here either...
http://www.indianaartisan.org/ No link to you!

And this one?
http://www.harvestinternationalministri ... &branch=27

Come on man! Who are you trying to kid with this shit? You forwarded some kind of web site to your site. You don't get PR6 in porn until you are a rock God and you are not a rock God.

Lets look at some real rock Gods of porn...
http://www.youporn.com/ PR5
http://www.tube8.com/ PR5
http://www.pornhub.com/ PR5

That makes you completely full of shit!

That tool sucks.. run your own sites through it...

All you have to do is look at the two texts it shows... that tool is full of shit.. often the text is exactly the same and it says they are off my several bytes so it is cloaked.

The difference...

Code: Select all

<!-- Dynamic page generated in 0.520 seconds. -->
<!-- Cached page generated by WP-Super-Cache on 2012-09-13 06:13:05 -->
<!-- super cache -->

The bot doesn't get that since the bots page isn't cached.

Right... it is because the suspect site uses caching and you don't. Or if you do, your cache plugin is not adding debug data to the page... I already covered this...

Also the two data sizes will usually be VERY different... not just a few KB off...

is it not possible for the LS bot to detect user agent redirects etc and then compile a list of suspect accounts?

The bots have enough of a time keeping up with checking on a normal check. There are lots of people that don't allow bots for whatever reason.

This guy wasn't doing something that your way of checking would have shown.
