Understanding a link trade
I got my first link trade request. Right now I have one trade request but I am not sure what the add to request buttons are for. Right now this particular request is listing
75 requests. Are these the sites that I can choose to direct traffic to my website?

Re: Understanding a link trade
The sites in the list are owned by the person who requested the trade.
Find the site you want your link to appear on and click the Add To Request button alongside it.
When you've done that, scroll to the bottom of the screen. Then select the site you want the link to point to from the drop down list under Linked To. Finally, add the anchor text in the Anchor Text field and click Submit.

Re: Understanding a link trade
You can but don't be greedy. Generally people will accept say, two links from their PR0 sites in return for a link from your PR1 site, or two PR1's for a PR2 etc. I asked for a link from a relevant PR1 the other day and got back a request for a PR2 and a PR1, to a completely irrelevant site. I won't be asking for any more trades with that fellow.gerbdla wrote:It allows me to pick more than one site can I do that?
Re: Understanding a link trade
so right now my site is pr0 so what would be the appropriate pr rank sites should I be requesting to trade with?
Re: Understanding a link trade
Is it worth anything to trade with another pr0 site or should I be trying to get trades with pr1 sites?
Re: Understanding a link trade
You could try it, but the ones who trade strictly based on PR will likely deny. And those who know PR doesn't mean much at all, will trade based on a variety of other qualities your site may or may not have.gerbdla wrote:Is it worth anything to trade with another pr0 site or should I be trying to get trades with pr1 sites?
Everyone has different trading strategies, but generally, you should start with sites that have similar qualities as your own.

Yeah mine is a little bizarre because it is a tweeter site. www.tweetsfrompornstars.com
I have pretty much requested people with pornstar themes.

Re: Understanding a link trade
Couple of other questions when considering who to link trade with.
How important is inbound vs outbound links. What is the best site to trade with
one with a high in or high out or both?

I suppose google doesn't like when a site goes link share crazy.
