didnt effect me... just because 100's of people will trade 1000's of links with you here it doesnt make it the smart thing to do. it also doesnt make linkspun.com a problem. it is like having a gun. the gun wont misbehave on its own. it needs a person to do that.

Looks like I got hit hard by Penguin. I lost about half of my traffic starting in may. I suspect the 50 links traded here all using the same link text, all coming from sites where many links are listed in in side bars or footers. Basically spam sites which seem to be about the only type of site listed here to trade with. I had been on page two of google searches with the phrase I was trading here "best porn reviews", now I am not found at all. The page I was having the links point to http://raven-porn-reviews.com has been bumped from page 1 to page 30 of google results when searching for "raven porn reviews".

Any suggestions on how to repair the damage? I hate the thought of having to go in and request most of my links traded here be removed, after all the hard work of getting them.

Try to make your link profile as natural looking as possible. Avoid links from footer linkfarms.

I got hit on some sites and rewarded on others.

Seems fairly certain that my silly acceptance of tons of trades with spam-linkers and linkfarms in my early linkspun days had a bad influence on those sites that were hit ... my immediate thought is that I wont try to clean up, but instead try to level the balance with more quality links to them, but of course might need to tidy out the worst garbage at some point.

I highly suggest NOT sending people to a warning page...

You should be asking for links into the deeper parts of your site.

Then you will be getting different anchors too...

And you could even pay some bloggers $2 a plug fees to plug your reviews in a paragraph of text... So perhaps you pay me $20 paxum and I mention your site in some of the posts I am already going to do... So I do MILF hunter on milfreviewed.com and at the end I tell people they can find a more in depth "review of MILF Hunter" at "Blah review site" with a link to your milf hunter review and the other to your index page.

Now you have 10 real links to even out the 50 fake links... then create 25 of your own blogs... and do the same for yourself... now you have 35 links.... each week pay someone else $20 for 10 plugs... ask that they put it just as a simple mention somewhere in their post. Find people like me that post 3 to 5 paragraphs..... not 3 sentences...

You owe me $100 paxum for that SEO...

Swings and roundabouts here, had a couple of sites land page 1-2 for target kw's, quite a few gone from pr0 to pr1 while few have dropped. traffic/sales up overall so i for 1 am not complaining.

That's right. I also collected as much trade as I could in early times. Now I select and accept only the good ones. Here are thousands of shitty sites with 3-7 posts or haven't updated since 2010-2011. I won't accept requests from them in the future and I'll use different anchors for each trades.
I launched a new shemale blog in May and tried how can it run up without sending in blog or toplists. I only put links into my other sites and have made 5-6 good trades from here - not with footer links. It looks it may a good strategy. Now this site is PR2 (I was lucky because with Google PR update), about 1.400.000th by Alexa ranking and it has a massive 200 unique visitors a day. I think isn't from a 6 week old site and I hope it's gettint better in the future.

Now we have a Linkspun Straight Category List, and a Linkspun Gay Category List, how about a Linkspun Blog Post Category List so we can request trades from just the individual blog post page as you mention above.

I've already traded blog post links w/ other WMs at LS and w/ Penguin this is the way to go

Hey VRocks, if this is not something that you plan to code in the LS upgraded version, is there any other way we can facilitate this thru the Forum?

Technically you can do this right now... But it would be in a completely unstructured way...

For further discussion on this lets move this to the support forum.
