I voted yes… But I am aware of privacy and spam list farmers. So a private messaging system would be nice. Is it not possible to link the forums private messaging system with that?

I receive ICQ spam... but it sits in the little retarded messaging system 2003b has... doesn't bother me...

Unrelated funny shit... I have an associate that thought those were legit requests so his ICQ has about 400 spammers in the contact list.

Anyway... Gmail filters out 99.9% of spam for me so I think being afraid of collection bots is just a way of donning a tinfoil hat.

There's are a lot of circumstances where a contact would be useful. I've been on linkspun for just few days but I already seen many sites with broken images and one with a malware... and no way to let the owner know...

I totally agree with you! Not to say that some webmasters are not reachable, even if their contact details are shown on the profile page.
