Re: FOOTER LINKS ...GET OUT!

Seo gurus....what is the difference between placing a link in the footer and placing it just above the footer? Probably not a lot. From what I'm seeing, sites with a bunch of links in a single block are being penalised, regardless of where that block of links sits on a page. And having a blog roll ...

I have a white label site with a webcam programme that had one link from every page to the index page of a directory. The sites in the list are owned by the person who requested the trade. Find the site you want your link to appear on and click the Add To Request button alongside it. I believe it's related to wordpress sites. I haven't seen it on other sites. The time limit is more or less what you're stating and clients don't want to wait 6 to 12 months for a natural re-serp of their site. So there are also a few cleaning stages, to find your print on Google, then to remove them one at the time. What I'm saying today can change in 30 minutes. Google ha...

I can see your point. On the paysite I can't have other peoples links on the main tour page. As this is where affiliates traffic goes. If you remove a link to a site that hasn't changed, the obvious question is why? So G may suspect you are link trading or PR sculpting, and lower your trust a little. Not sure about this, but one thought: if a site drops a lot of non-reciprocal links over a period of time, it might be taken as an indicator that the site is either participating in a link trading network or selling links. But I've nothing concrete to show that happens.

It isn't just that site, it's their entire network of sites.

They were using that to supply paid for one way links. Now the network has been de-indexed, those links are without value.
